Meng Photomarathon

There was the Canon Photomarathon, then there was the Meng Photomarathon. Who can resist a sure-winner with a cute organiser to boot? :)

The organiser
And my favourite ride :)One-man show: He planned, he drove and he waited while I took the photos!

Meng Photomarathon

The best thing about his competition is that his rules did not state only 1 entry per assignment! And then there's post-editing which Canon Photomarathon did not have time for.

Assignment 1: Through A Hole

Insight Inside

Through a Hole, Back in Time
Hole in the Dough (just for the fun of it)
Assignment 2: Animals

This is called creativity, not cheating. :))

Twist in Perspective
Assignment 3: Freestyle

Actually I picked "Duality" but I had no idea what it meant. So I skipped and picked another hoho. Another advantage of Meng Photomarathon.

Vein of Heaven Bloom

The reward!

Playtime. :D Play with Wesley + Giving him a Bath It's really nice playing with and bathing a dog once again. :) That stupid furball responds more to other random names than Wesley haha. His cousin's dog. Cute and crazy!

Tioman Series Part 3: The Other Perspective

Take a closer look. Don't ignore the blatant things staring in your face.

(Thanks Sarah, for helping me hold up this rather heavy pipe while I composed this picture.)

Probably my favourite picture of the bunch. Listen to the story it is telling. (Don't worry, the cat is alive, but the message is clear.)

Tioman is sparsely inhabited and supported by the tourist trade. Look at what's behind the rustic beauty of pretty little hut-like houses.

We often take potable tap water in Singapore for granted. How precious it is to the land-scarce Singapore. It's ironic how Malaysia sells us water, and their tap water isn't potable.

Abandoned boats left wasted aside. It's a beautiful sight, especially because it wasn't meant to be.

Tioman Series Part 2: Rustic Beauty

Such beauty rare as it is in Singapore, is all around little Tioman Island just 39 km long and 12 km wide.

And this last piece is one of my favourite photos of Tioman. :) A little boat by the stagnant swamp which is overlooked by the people of the little huts.

Tioman Series Part 1: Little Angels

I had an awesome time in Tioman, and of course, I had my fair share of time taking many photos! :) More coming up.

Thanks to Kwong How for the tip of down-scaling via photoshop! :)

My First Exhibit!

Simplicity-
An NUS Photographic Society-organised series of exhibition. Held outside the central library in NUS, its very small-scale, and I guess with very little people do take note of it. But nonetheless, my very first time!! So excited when I saw my photo up there. :D

Theme:
Glamourlicious (above)
Tenderness (below)

Thanks to Huilian for her camera during the exhibition and the picture taken on the left. :)

And this is the photo entry entitled "Bloom".

Love Birds

These birds may look like part of the wall painting, but I assure you, they are really live parrots. Very loving ones, in fact. Taken at Sentosa.

(And this pair was kissing and kissing and kissing..)

Fallen grace

A pretty face
A fallen grace
Watch it all in life's slow pace
Fall into nature's sweet embrace
